Aloha Friday

Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy over at An Island Life and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and head over to An Island Life to link up. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question:

What is/are your go to meals when you have company?

My in-laws are visiting for the next week.  My father-in-law loves to eat out, so we usually go out quite a bit, but mother-in-law is more frugal and likes to eat at home so we need balance.  I am feeling uninspired, so give me some ideas!!!  I made lasagna last night and it was good, but I probably need 3-4 more meals to prepare.

  1. Spaghetti and meatballs comes to mind first. :) I also like to utilize the crockpot since you can load it up and let it do its thing all day...like beef stew, chicken and rice with cream of mushroom soup, or rock cornish game hens with wild rice. :) Let me know if you need any recipes - have fun visiting! :)

  2. Spaghetti would be my number one answer. Next would be a roast with potatoes and carrots.

  3. It has to be pasta and red beans and rice. I'm good at those.
